Heyy everyon!! My name is Emma, I am 16, about to be a junior, and welcome to my blog! I’m just a small town girl, but no I do not live in a lonely world. I’ve alsonever written a blog before, but I promise it will be like nothing you’ve ever read. This blog will be filled with random quotes, stories, pictures, and well anything else random. I’m thinking you finally found my theme: randomness. I am quite a random person I must say. My interests are all over the place and I don’t like conforming. My interest range from sports to cupcakes. I’m into classic rock music with the occasional Lady Gaga or even Glee! I love to sing and act, but before I keep boring you with the manuscript of my life, I must explain why I am creating this blog.
Well, it all started when I was on facebook and I saw that one of my friends had a tumblr. account. So, I checked it out and it was love at first sight. I had been wanting to write a blog for a while, but I never knew what about. I thought that this would be a place where I could just be, well, random! I then also thought it would be an awesome thing to do during the summer mornings when my parents are at work and I’m sitting home doing nothing. I was also promised a laptop if I got on the honor roll, so I was going to wait until I got the laptop before I wrote my first post. Well, that ship has sailed and I am not getting my laptop. This is because my one teacher gave me a C and I missed a B by one point. Now, at my school this means I got an 84, which I know really isn’t bad. So I’m hoping my mom will still let me get it. So now that I told you all about why I made the blog, I should probably tell you a little more about me.
Well as I said before, I am a small town girl, and I do go to a nerd school. My school is on a peninsula-ish thing and yes we are right by the beach. It is an open campus so we walk around between classes. The most famous thing about my lovely beach school is that well, we are military. Yup, I am a member of the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. This is the high school version of college ROTC and I know it makes no sense that I, a very random different individual, be a part of something as conforming as a military high school program. So I must tell you why I joined.
My grandpa and some great-uncles were in World War II and I felt that it was appropriate for me to join the program for them. I also love the activities we do like marching and getting a lot of ribbons. I do have the most ribbons in the grade and am the only 6 officers in the grade, which makes me and these lovely five other individuals the highest ranked cadets in the grade. My job is assistant supply officer and the other 5 jobs are also assistants to seniors, except two which work with sophomores, but I do not want to confuse you!!! Being the assistant supply officer, I am kind of in charge of all the uniforms at my school. I issue them to freshmen, collect them from finishing seniors, and just help everyone else if they need new uniform parts. I also get the best uniform stuff, so I must say my uniform is in top shape!
Besides from my NJROTC love, I am also a girl scout. I am a girl scout of eight years, was currently bridged to a Senior Girl Scout, have my bronze and silver awards, and love getting badges. This love of badges does connect to my love of ribbons in the NJROTC. My dad thinks this why I love that program, which is probably true lol. Besides from that, I love the creative arts. For the past two years at my school, I directed a one act play, performed in a one act play, and performed in two musicals. Next year I will be directing another play and will also be in the musical. I love to sing and act, and it is my secret passion and dream! I’d love to be an actress on the stage or in the movies, but my parents don’t exactly think it is a good career path.
My other love is spanish! I am 1/4 Puerto Rican and 1/4 Spanish and just love everything spanish. I am a high A student in Spanish and was just inducted into the spanish honor society, which I deeply love and hope to run for secretary of this society next year. My other club is Key Club and it is very dear to my heart. This organization is a service organization and does a lot of community service for Children Specialized Hospital. This year I was just inducted as the new Editor for this club and write montly newsletters about what is going on in our club. They are absolutely gorgeous and I hope to win first place for best club newsletter and the District Convention next year. I also hope to possibily run for district editor, but we’ll see what happens.
My love of journalism is also my other passion. This is what I am striving for, and what I am probably going to college for. My dream is to go to Emerson College in Boston for journalism, and a minor in theatre, and then work in a fashion magazine and eventually become an editor. Well, I believe you are all probably sick of hearing about me, and yes I am done. Today is my first day of summer vacation, and I wanted to start it off right. HAPPY SUMMER TO EVERYONE!!! Get ready for a interesting blog and an awesome summer!!!

Emma <3
